Edwin Aparicio's performance in "La Sobremesa", the work by Omayra Amaya at the Second Annual Encanto Flamenco Festival in San Antonio, TX
"Proud and elegant dancers both, [Omayra Amaya and Edwin Aparicio] made us feel the duende driving them from within [...]"
 [...]
"Aparicio dazzled with his footwork [...] from subtle, crackling sounds, to furious stamping and [...] vibrating, not in place, but while advancing across a certain distance. He also used his upper body and his arms in a dramatic, expressive manner, and both he and Amaya were masters of sudden breaks that presaged a new wave of intensity."

A Teatro Sí presentation of Alborada Spanish Dance Theatre Company
"The definite star of the night was Edwin Aparicio, fresh from a recent stay in Spain. I know Edwin from my trips out to the Feria de Sevilla in Washington, DC as well as the flamenco scene there, and had the privilege of watching him perform throughout the years. This time, the man blew me away!! He has now matured into a force to be reckoned with. Edwin Aparicio danced a Solea por Bulerias that had the audience roaring Ole!, Eso Es! with every move. To watch him is to dance with him."

'Edwin Aparicio: Selected Works':
Fuego Flamenco 3
"The entire corps was used to excellent effect in [Martinete] this sober, a cappella study of flamenco percussion. Aparicio, however, was its sinew and soul, a technical powerhouse dancing with blistering conviction.
[...]
Timo Nuñez, who hails from Hollywood and looks like a movie star, followed with the devilish 'Alegrías'.
[...]
In 'Soleá por Bulerías,' Norberto Chamizo, of Germany and Spain, was all refinement and self-possession as he effortlessly accelerated his state-of-the-art heelwork until his feet became a blur [...]."
~Paula Durbin, The Washington Post, December 7, 2007~

"Edwin Aparicio and his group again provided electricity to the stage of the Gala Theater as their "Edwin Aparicio: Selected Works" production blazed across the floor in a flamenco spectacular.
[...]
One's feet were tapping and one's hands were aflame from the thunderous applause given throughout.
[...]
Edwin Aparicio is outstanding as he always keeps the passion of the dance in every variation which are a-plenty. His feet-tapping is similar to a woodpecker's beak bouncing off the bark of a tree...so speedily that movement becomes blurred.
[...]
Genoveva was back again and she had the perfect flamenco body to which she can add the intricate hand posturings that are sex personified.

Drama and Dance
"It is advertized as "heart-stopping" but Edwin Aparicio and his flamenco company is so fantastically passionate and fiery that it stops all sense organs! The full house audience at Gala HispanicTheater roared with shouts and applause for every show stopping number. Mr. Aparicio has no equals in his superior footwork that is so speedy that the eyes can only detect blurrs."

"The opening of the second part with "Alegrias" was super spectacular in costuming for the ladies and in synchronized group dancing. When the group of eleven fluttered their hands it seemed like a group of doves taking flight. One can only coin a new phrase "extraordinary plus" to describe this fantastic company."

'Entresueño':
"The highlight of the evening was the skilled dancing of Edwin Aparicio whose feet blurred with such amazingly repetitive movements. He, no doubt, will be the first dancer to do a triple axle in his turns. Pure sexual masculinity was mixed with grace and dignity.
~Bob Anthony, All Arts Review For You, August 2006~

"Edwin’s footwork is the classic medical textbook example of how brain and body neuro-pathways are designed to work. Watching him reminds you to pinch yourself you’re not dreaming his performance."
~ "La Gata", Dance Critic for Flamenco Buzz NYC, August 2006~

'Intimo':
Flamenco Dancers Snap Staccato with Authority
"Aparicio was the rouser: Possessed of an almost feline pounce in quick, 180-degree switchbacks, he rode a crescendo of rhythm with the cool air of a matador, percussion traveling his body in one long, sustained ripple."
~Catherine Thomas, The Oregonian, October 2005~

'Encuentros':
"Congrats to Edwin Aparicio, La Truco and the whole cast, supporters and ticket-buying public. The Encuentros concert was a huge success!"
~Michael Perez, DCFlamenco, March 2004~

'Bailes Inéditos':
Some Fabulous Flamenco
"Aparicio commanded the stage with masculine strength, building to a final burst into the air."
~The Washington Post, November 2003~

"Edwin is pure power. When he hits the stage with his powerful kick on his Alegrias solo segment, joy itself takes over. It is incredible the immense amount of energy Edwin displays. And his innovative moves, his powerful stride and his joyful stance carry the audience with him. There is not enough of Edwin on the stage; we feel the need for more and more."
